Jeremy Lockard

Jeremy is a Partner at RFSW & Co. and is a Certified Public Accountant in our Oelwein office. He graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a B.A. in Accounting and began working at RFSW & Co. in September 2009. Jeremy is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Iowa Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Outside of work, Jeremy's passion is horses and much of his free time is spent working with and caring for his horses as well as camping and trail riding trips with his family.

Jeremy and his wife Kayla make their home on an acreage in rural Randalia. The couple has one son, Owen.

Brent Waters

Brent is a partner at RFSW & Co. and is a Certified Public Accountant at our Oelwein office. Brent earned his bachelor's degree in Accounting at the University of Northern Iowa and joined the RFSW family in January of 2013. Brent became a partner of the firm in 2017. Brent provides various services for individual and business clients such as assisting clients with accounting for income taxes, financial statement preparations, researching complex tax issues, and resolving issues with the Internal Revenue Service. He is also a member of the Iowa Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Before joining RFSW, Brent grew up in and graduated from Oelwein Community High School. He is also a 6-year veteran of the United States Air Force.

Brent and his wife, Megan, have 2 rescue pups they consider their children. In their free time they enjoy spending time with their family and friends, gardening, preserving nature and traveling when permitted.

Cathy Link

Cathy is the Administrative Professional at RFSW corporate headquarters in Oelwein and has been there since 1999.

Cathy and her husband Terry have 2 children, Adam and Kelsey. Adam is a graduate of the University of Iowa and works at the University of Colorado. Kelsey is a graduate of the University of Iowa and is employed at Enterprise.

In her spare time Cathy enjoys reading, traveling, motorcycle riding, spending time with family and friends, and Iowa Football.

Bryce Bentley

Bryce obtained his BS in Accounting from Bellevue University in Nebraska and is currently a staff accountant with RFSW and Co.

He is a veteran of the Army National Guard and served a 23 month deployment 18 months of which were spent in Iraq. He returned home and worked in law enforcement for eight years before going back to school for accounting. Bryce is known in several states for consulting with farmers in regards to their operations cashflows and reviewing their financial statements for potential cost savings. He is also certified in Xero.

Bryce is married to Tyna Bentley and they have son Averye. Bryce enjoys spending time at his cabin in Lansing, IA with his family as well as hunting and fishing.

Elizabeth Smith

Elizabeth is the Employee Benefits Manager and a staff accountant at RFSW & Co. She has been with the firm since 2016.

Elizabeth graduated from UNI with a BA in Exercise Science in 2010. After working for a few years, she decided a career change was in order, went back to college and earned a BS in Accounting from UIU in 2016. Her responsibilities include client payroll, monthly bookkeeping, quarterly payroll reports, W-2's, sales tax reports and checking tax returns

Elizabeth and her husband, Alex, have two children: Weston and Raylan.

John Noll

John is the firm's IT Manager, staff accountant, and is a Certified Payroll Professional. John began with RFSW & Co in 2019.

John spent 15 years in the construction business before going back to school, where he graduated from Concordia University with a BS in Accounting. His responsibilities include Information Technology duties, monthly bookkeeping, QuickBooks support, sales tax returns, quarterly payroll returns, W-2's, and client payroll.

John and his wife Cindy live in Oelwein with their 3 cats. In John's free time he enjoys hiking, kayaking, home improvements, and spending time with family and friends.

Missie Jakel

Missie is a staff accountant at the Oelwein office. She started with company in 2019.

Missie graduated from Hawkeye Community College in 2005 with her AA in Business Administration degree. After this she transferred to the University of Northern lowa where she earned her B.A. in Accounting in 2009.

Missie worked several years in retail before focusing on taxes and is passionate about helping clients. Her areas of specialty include Tax Preparation, Quickbooks and XERO.

Missie enjoys spending time with her friends and family. In her free time, she enjoys camping, kayaking, traveling to Florida and DIY projects.

Shani Steil

Shani joined RFSW in October 2023 after spending the majority of her career doing accounting for small businesses.

Shani and her husband Curt reside in rural Fayette with their daughter Pyper.

In her spare time Shani enjoys home improvement projects, going on adventures with her family, watching her daughter dance, and caring for their many animals.
